Welcome to Ascent.

Ascent is an experiment of mine in fake shading. Yes, fake. Play the game, and you'll see. The lights are literally slow-gliding pngs that float around the map. Another thing I tested out was infinite procedural generation. The tileset did not want to cooperate, but the game still works fine. The whole map is procedurally generated using a simple true/false system of iteration, as opposed to a more complex algorithm. The levels will also get harder the farther up you rise in them.

Use space to dash, and arrow keys to move.
